I'm getting back to composing after 2 years and was thinking of switching to a Windows sequencer for features such as a larger screen, midi meaning (i.e. forte in score plays louder without MIDI tweaking) and automatic chord notation. But several people have told me there is no better sequencer than Notator, so why switch? Well, I'm certainly open to it. Notator has been great all these years, and after applying an eraser to the dongle, pretty crash-free. :) So if I keep my Notator setup intact, one thing I would like to improve is the screen size which is c. 6"x 8". As I recall, my 1040ST with 4 MB RAM couldn't accommodate the larger monitor when I looked into it about 5 or 6 years ago. Now that Atari hardware may be cheaper (if harder to find), is there a good way to get/use a larger monitor with Atari hardware. I gather one option is to hook up with a PC to do this, but would rather avoid that if there is a relatively simple way to do it with Atari alone. My PC is used for my (nonmusic) work and is in a different room. The Atari is used for music only. Any advice would be appreciated.
