Yes. Software by micro$oft generally has some strange default settings. In this case they're plain WRONG according to the set standards! Outlook in other language versions than English also have a strange way of replying where the usual "Re:" is replaced by a localized language equivelant of "reply", like "Sv:" or "An:" to take two examples. This in turn means that a reply with a standard mailer using "Re:" will give something like: Re: Sv: Re: Sv: Re: Sv: my subject line... Anyway, Outlook (as well as Netscape, which also defaults to HTML mail) can be configured to send mail as plain text. I've explained this in the "Mailing list netiquette" which shouldn't be too hard for anyone to understand as I've written it in plain, easy to understand English and given clear pointers to it in the welcoming mail to the list. >I saw no indication of the most recent virus received in this >list.......(actually >it is old by now).......they generally arrive as attachments, do they not? In my case (I use "Eudora pro" on a Mac) the whole message arrived as HTML, and when I chose to see all the headers etc. (which also shows the actual HTML tags) I could see a lot of programming codes there as well.
