[Notator/Creator SL mailing list]
A little off-topic I guess, but since it has to do with C-Lab/Emagic
software I gather some of you might be able to help.
I'm currently trying to figure out a good way to organize my
synthesizer patches. Prefferably one program which will support all my
equipment (as well as being configurable so that even future equipment
not currently supported can be adapted).
Also, instead of using a bunch of editors/librarians, all with their
own interfaces and ways of doing things I'd prefer getting to know one
program properly.
I'm curious about C-Lab's own "Sounddiver". Anyone using it? I've heard
it's supposed to be a good program.
Does anyone know if the Atari version can use the current setup files
for MIDI equipment made for the current Mac and PC versions?
Right now I need librarian support for the following equipment at least:
-Yamaha DX-7
-Yamaha TX-802
-Yamaha TX-81Z
-Roland D-110
-Roland JX-8P
-Studio Electronics SE-1
As I might buy some more equipment soon I'd also like to be able to
import setup files (or in the worst case make my own).
I'm wondering about buying a Yamaha EX-5R or CS-6R module.
It's mainly librarian functions I'm interested in -I want to be able to
organize my patches, but I certainly won't say no to editor functions
as some of my synths will probably be easier to edit with a computer.
Any feedback/comments concerning all of this is welcome.
once again, sorry for being off-topic.
Hallvard
