Emagic Sounddiver is the choice for the EX. I own both. The Atari of
course predates the EX by
decades, so no Ed/Lib for the Atari/EX combo. I use the sounddiver on my
MacG3, just for that.
I use the 1040 for music making with my EX in the system. I've used Xor and
MidiQuest for Ed/Lib
for many instruments, but since I have the Mac, I've used it almost
exclusively with patch work.
