Right. Creator can be downloaded from the Notator website (URL in my
signature among other places), but.... it will only work with a
*Creator SL* dongle as far as I know!
So he's still in a catch-22 :-(
Hmmm... how about someone else (with an Atari ST containing more
memory) loads Notator SL, disables notation and sends the program to
Vic?
I can't remember the details around the notation disabling, but if
there is an option to save the current state of Notator, meaning that
the next time it's loaded into memory, notation won't be loaded it
should be fine.
But if notation is always loaded, but can switched off *after* being
loaded into memory I guess there's no other solution than expanding the
memory of the computer or buying an ST with more memory.
Depending on the Atari ST model, memory expansion can be pretty
expensive. If that's the case I'd look around for a cheap, used STe
since they can easily be expanded to 4 Mbytes using standard SIMM
boards.
Maximium memory is a good choice in any case, so I'd rather look into
this than disabling notation all the time (512 Kbytes is still not that
much, even for just sequencing I guess).
