What scientists once arrogantly called "junk DNA", which may represent genetic memory or data. In other words, Logic even today has some design influence from Notator, but probably more from Cubase if we're honest -- and almost certainly no actual code. > One speculation is that Apple is planning to go head to head with Pro Tools! I think they'd be foolish to write their own Pro Tools. Ardour is coming up fast and it's free. It only runs on Linux at the moment but the smartest thing Apple ever did was switching MacOS to a unix core (shame it's BSD but you can't have everything), so there is definitely a chance of adapting things like this instead of having to start again. On the other hand, due to the cost of Macs I would far rather Linux continued to blossom as an audio platform thanks to the likes of JACK and Ardour. Of course as a sequencer platform it still doesn't compete with the ST :) -- It's a Jamm!n thing. _______________________________________________________ | Unsubscribe from the list? send the words: | | UNSUBSCRIBE NOTATOR to: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ | -------------------------------------------------------
