I too have patiently learned to use Cubase 5 and 6 - but after a couple of years decided I enjoyed myself far more on the old ST (grabbed another upgraded steal from a charity shop to go with the two cannibalised ones in the loft). I'm a song writer who doesn't read music and I usually hire people of the same sort of ability. We listen to a home recording composed on the Atari, learn it and play it. I fiddle about with keys beforehand since I'm the one who's got to sing it. Getting on with the Gypsy Jazz Festival so I haven't got time to learn a new system anyway - that's my excuse. Suppose I'll have to get onto Barry at Keychange, I've been getting too many crashes recently. Thank God somebody still knows how to mend them. Keep the discussions coming - I even understood one thing that somebody said months back! Yours Gilly www.lespritmanouche.com ps Thanks to Dave Etheridge for the help last year. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Coates" <@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@> To: <@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@> Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2004 9:09 PM Subject: Re: [NSL] NAMM and Mac????? > [Notator/Creator SL mailing list] > > Hi All, > I've been a bit of a lurker recently, as I made the transition to Mac and > Cubase about three years ago, but I held onto some of my Notator gear > including an St and a Mega, Export, Unitor & Notator.
