I've heard that newer SCSI drives don't necessarily work with Atari ST systems, but I really don't know the specifics around this. Better ask in the "comp.sys.atari.st" newsgroup as HDdriver's software author Uwe Seimet often answers harddisk related questions, and he's an expert in my opinion. Another issue with the Mega STe: the termination issue is *very important*. I can't remember if you have to leave it *un*terminated, or if you have to terminate it. I believe it was the former since it sounded a bit strange to me, but don't quote me on this. Check with the drive already installed, John, before replacing it with the new one. I've heard that you can fry the SCSI interface in the Mega STe if you mess up the termination, so better get this right the first time. Again, ask in the "comp.sys.atari.st" newsgroup if nobody here knows for sure, or in doubt. Lastly, congratulations on a great machine! I have a Mega STe myself, and it's an excellent Atari ST -the best ST model in my opinion! -- Hallvard Tangeraas Notator mailing list owner & maintainer http://www.notator.org ** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** ** Unsubscribe from the list?
