Someone just ask the guy- straight out- whether he's even interested in the subject full stop. - As Neil put it below, "Would Gerhard have the power / desire / capabillity to do such a thing today". That's all that really needs to be asked. And then it can go from there. Everyone is speculating on how to approach the guy- what are we afraid of? The worst he can say is "go away leave me alone". But then at least we know where we stand. I'm just a casual user of Notator, and most of the things that people speak about on this forum I would not have a clue what they're talking about. But the programme works just fine for me and is all I need for what I do. But this subject is obviously important to you guys, and it's something you yearn for. So I say go for it, stop wondering and just ask the question. What's the worst that can happen? So that's my 10 cents worth on the debate. Maybe just ask what the chances are of a dongle free Mac/windows version?
