WP offers tons of plugins and in less that 10 minutes it can be installed along with BuddyPress to add Social Networking for users. There is also a forum built in to BP bbPress with a simple interface but not as sophisticated as phpbb or any of the other known forums but with the thousands of plugins we might be able to find something. With WP you can also have one or few admins and also admin panel for users with lots of options. Would also be nice to Blog Notator of which WP can do with ease. And while on the subject I think that at the same time we should also consider a "Follow Us on Facebook" like some companies do? Whether you have a Mailing List, Y-Groups, Forums, etc or not, I think it is well worth it and might get the attention of a large number of people. Social Networking is huge. Many folks might not touch Notator but at least they get to read and understand what it's all about. Just my nickels. Hi folks,
well even though we do in theory, (and yes it is there if you look hard enough) it's not very user friendly as such. I'm speculating that what mixerboy (and myself for that matter) might have in mind is something along the lines of a Yahoo group. If there's sufficient interest/demand, I'll be perfectly happy to st one up (unless someone else wants to, naturally).
This would not be designed as a competitor to www.notator.org but as a complimentary site/service, perhaps to make it somewhat easier to swap hints/tips/anecdotes and generally chew the fat on all things Notator.
Any reactions folks?
Best wishes,
David.
