XP reads floppys formatted to 720kb, but not if they had been formattet by a Atari.

I just tried to send a guy the files of Cubase 3.1 because he has the dongle.
My office machine is a PC w/ Win XP SP2 actually, my 2 DAWs are Win XP SP3 ...

Insert a DD floppy disk into the floppy drive of the PC and it will report "drive not found".

The computer parts inside the machine, incl. the floppy drive are from 2004 and there is a "no go"

Best way is a Mega STe 4 w/ HD floppy drve or a 1040Ste w/ such a drive (which is more rare).

I see no option w/ Windows XP SP2 or SP3 anymore.
Well, it worked w/ Win 98 ´til 2000 ... <<

Can't speak for them all but I know in xp if I recall SP2 it is a hidden function. I will have to dig through my files on one of my old hds to find the command but it might still be accessible in google.
